Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Tool Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and modifying injection molds used in automotive plastic manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience working with injection molding tooling, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Tool Technician to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and modifying injection molds used in automotive plastic manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience working with injection molding tooling, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair injection molds.
- Perform preventive maintenance on molds and tooling.
- Make engineering changes and modifications to molds.
- Build and repair tooling fixtures as needed.
- Work with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to resolve tooling issues.
- Coordinate with outside vendors for tooling repairs when necessary.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and housekeeping standards.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years of Tool Technician, Tool & Die, Mold Technician, or related experience.
- 1–3 years of experience in an automotive manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing injection molds.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings is preferred.
- Experience with injection molding equipment, tooling, robotics, or auxiliary equipment is a plus.
- Journeyman Tool & Die certification or apprenticeship is preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move tooling and equipment as required.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Must be able to work overtime as needed.
