MIG Welder – 1st and 2nd Shift Available

1st Shift Monday - Friday | 6 AM - 2:30 PM

2nd Shift Monday – Thursday | 2:30 PM – 1:00 AM

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented MIG Welder to join our team in a steel and metal fabrication environment in Jasper. This is a 2nd shift position in a fast-paced production setting.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on MIG welding experience, the ability to interpret blueprints accurately, and a solid understanding of metal fabrication processes. This role requires consistent quality workmanship, efficiency, and a strong commitment to safety.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MIG welding on structural steel and fabricated metal components

• Weld in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical) as required

• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings with accuracy

• Set up welding machines, adjust voltage and wire feed settings appropriately

• Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal parts prior to welding

• Inspect welds to ensure structural integrity and compliance with company standards

• Grind, clean, and finish welded surfaces as needed

• Meet daily production goals while maintaining strict quality standards

• Follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of MIG welding experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment

• Experience working with structural steel and heavy-gauge materials preferred

• Strong understanding of welding techniques, joint preparation, and fit-up

• Ability to read a tape measure and blueprints accurately

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Comfortable working in a non-climate controlled steel facility

• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

• Welding certification preferred but not required

• Must be able to pass any required pre-employment screenings
